T-ball

Grayson wrapped up his t-ball season the past weekend.  He did so good and we were very proud of him.  It was so funny to watch the games with a group of easily distracted 3 and 4 year olds.  We tried to take individual and team pictures but it was one tough job!  These are some of my favorites:

First Tooth Fairy Visit

Liv's front two teeth started getting loose a few months ago.  A few weeks later I noticed that the adult teeth were coming in behind them.  We went to the dentist for a check up and they said if they didn't fall out in a couple of weeks that they would need to pull them.  We didn't have any luck.  So, $450 later she lost her first 2 teeth!  She recovered quickly and was back to normal that afternoon.

She woke up and got dressed for school and forgot to check under her pillow.  I reminded her and she was thrilled to find her loot!

End of the year fun!

Gray had his end of the year program.  He did really good and sang all of the songs!  He LOVES this hat and looks so cute in it.

Liv had an awards ceremony.  All the kindergardners got a reading award and she was so proud to hear her name called.

We had popsicles with parents and she LOVED having Mommy and Daddy there.

I've started a new tradition with them and we are going to get treats every year on the last day of school.  Gray's good friend Cal celebrated with us on their last day of preschool for the year.  Thank goodness I have 2 more years until Gray starts kindergarden!

And today we went for snow cones after school.

We have a first grader!  Her report card was perfect.  We are so proud.

Gray

We have big news!!! After almost a year of potty training, Gray is finally pooping in the potty.  I know I will never forget how hard it was so I won't go into any details but our sweet, smart, crazy, fearless, super-hero-costume-wearing, bug catching, t-ball playing little boy has finally done it.  We are all so happy!

I'm just not sure how we ever made it without this guy!

New Chapter

We have been looking at and wanting to buy some land for quite a while.  We have looked at several different properties over the last year or so.  We wanted something affordable, that wasn't too far out of town and didn't have a lot of building restrictions and that was hard to find in Owasso! After looking for a while and coming so close to putting in offers on a few different properties, we had kind stopped looking until one day I just happened to look in the paper and saw an ad for 2.3 acres in the Hodson School District.I called about it and we went to look at within 20 minutes. As soon as we pulled up we both got chills are and I said, "this is it!" It has trees, it's quiet, we can have a horse if we want and it even has a creek that runs on one side of it.  We will wait until our house sells to build but in the mean time we are having fun playing on it!  Last week when we went to mow it I just could not get over how happy we all were!  It was so neat to see the kids running by the creek and riding on the mower with us.  Luci enjoyed it too!  She ran around the lot a couple of times and that was the most activity I've seen her do in a long time.  Of course afterwards she collapsed and didn't move the rest of the time.

We are so excited to begin this new journey as a family.  What a blessing!

Mother's Day 2012

I had a great mother's day this year!  Michael was so sweet and made a slideshow for me.  It had pictures of the kids from when they were babies up until now and had very sweet things from the kids about what they loved about Mommy.  They all three made videos for me.  It still makes me cry to watch it.

Olivia made the card pictured above.  She drew me coming out of wal-mart.  When she gave it to me she told me she drew me coming out of baby wal-mart, not big wal-mart.  She knows I hate big wal-mart.  It was so sweet and funny!

Gray filled out a survey at school.  One fill in the blank was "my mommy always tells_____" and he put "to try and go poop in the potty"  Forget that I tell him I love him a million times a day...that's what he remembers.  Oh brother.

The preschoolers at church did a speical Mother's Day performance and it was ADORABLE!  Gray was so happy and danced all around.

Angie was such a sweet mother-in-law and had us over for dinner and even gave me a card and a gift.  After church on Sunday we took Mom to lunch and then spend the day mowing our land.  That post is up next:)  I couldn' t have asked for a better Mother's Day weekend!

My girly girl

Today is Olivia's last day of school.  I can't believe she'll be a first grader after today! She has grown up so much in the last year.  She's such a good big sister, so well-behaved and will talk to anyone and everyone about whatever is on her mind.

She has been cracking me up lately with how girly she is! The other day I was getting her ready for school and I was just dressed in workout clothes with no make-up on and this is how the converstion went:

Olivia: mom, you don't have any earrings in
Me: I know, I'm just taking you to school and coming right back home
Olivia: do you want me to get you some?
Me: No, I'm fine but thank you.
Olivia: But Mom, what if someone sees you?

Oh my!

A couple of weeks ago she wanted to use her allowance money to get a pedicure. I told her she didn't quite have enough so she said "that's ok, I'll just ask mimi to pay for the rest." She knows how to get what she wants!  And she gets upset if I get a pedi without her.

Last night I took her to a jewelry party.  She had so much fun picking out the charms and acted so grown up.  When we were waiting in line she said "this is the best party I've ever been to!"  I came home and told Michael we are in trouble when she gets older.

She adores horses and is loving taking riding lessons.  This is her with Sierra, her new lesson horse.

I love this girl so much.  She is so fun to be around and I feel blessed to be her mom.  I think it will only be more fun as she gets older and we can do more girly things together!
