Fall Activities

Olivia finished up her second season cheering for the Pirates.  She loved it and made many new friends.  Grayson started karate and is loving that so far.  He has already tested up to his white green belt and he is really picking it up quickly.  Although having them both involved in activities makes our evenings busy, I love seeing them active and building confidence through sports.

Halloween 2012

Grayson was spiderman and Olivia was a horse.

During the day on Halloween our Wacky Wednesday group went to the nursing home to visit the residents.  This is always a fun time.  Grayson is always so sweet to them and talks to them a lot.  The moms get a kick out of the things the residents say to the kids and the things the kids say to the residents!

That evening we went trick or treating in Grammy and Pappy's neighborhood.  We didn't last very long because the houses are so far apart so the kids had to walk a long way to each house.  It was a nice, relaxing halloween night.

Spiderman even showed off his wall climbing moves.

The kids were asked to be a on a morning news segment for Halloween safety.  It was neat for them to be on the news!  Olivia kept saying she wanted to go be on the news again.  This is them with Fox 23 News anchor Melissa Hawkes.

It's a blurry picture, but here they are being filmed for the segment.  I even had to drive my car in the segment to show how quickly a child could run out in front of a car.  Guess we can all say we've had our 15 minutes of fame!

Gray is 4!

Gray LOVES to follow around our exterminator so we went with a bug theme for his party.

We had plenty of bugs! This table had worms and lady bugs for the kids to play with and dig up.

One of his friends brought a tarantula they caught earlier that day.

The lady bugs were everywhere!

Even girly-girl Liv enjoyed the bugs.

Gray was such a sweet helper served all of his friends "beetle juice"

He has such a sweet (and wild) group of friends that he gets to hang out with almost weekly.  I have a feeling this group is going to cause a lot of trouble over the years.

Jared, our awesome exterminator came and gave the kids a lesson about bugs.  He had been collecting bugs for the party for over a month and had a lot of interesting things to show us.

The adults were just as interested as the kids.

This centipede was HUGE!

It was a great party and everyone had a lot of fun and learned a lot.  Fun facts about G at age 4:

He still loves trains.
He loves his best friend Cole and they want to hang out constantly.
He talks a lot, just like his sister.
He loves camoflauge and all things hunting related.
He pronounces his L's like W's and it is the cutest thing ever!

First Days of School 2012

Olivia was so excited to start first grade.  She did make several comments about how much harder it would be and how she really didn't want to do all that work.

We were thrilled to find out her teacher was Mrs. Teeman.  When I saw Mrs. Teeman and told her that Olivia was in her class, she was so excited!  She has kept Olivia in the nursery at chruch since she was little and she told me that she had prayed that Olivia would be in her class.  That made me tear up!

She looked adorable and just had to be decked out in an outfit from Justice, her favorite place.  We spend over and hour in the store trying to find the perfect one!

They were so sweet when we dropped her off.  They hugged each other.  Thankfully no one cried this time!

A few weeks later it was time for G to start school.  He was excited and each time we drove by his school this summer he would say "I still want to go back to my school!"

Looking good!

Gray's teacher are Miss Jamie and Miss Kelei this year.  They are so sweet and he is always really good for them!

Olivia's 6th Birthday

It didn't surprise anyone that Olivia wanted a horse birthday party.  She had a blast riding the horses and the other kids seemed to enjoy it as well.  It was so nice to have ALL the family there.  I reminded myself I shouldn't have any more outdoor parties in July unless it is a swim party.  Oklahoma heat is just to brutal.

There are so many things we love about our sweet Olivia.  Here are a few fun facts about our favorite 6 year old:

She is an awesome big sister.
She LOVES animals, especially horses and dogs.
She wants to be a vet when she grows up.
She is very polite and responsible.
She is very social and has never met a stranger.
Her favorite toys are her American Girl Dolls, Horses and My Little Ponies, artsy/crafty stuff and anything girly.  She also loves Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift!
